A Proper Post

First off, a big ‘thanks!’ is in order to all who made it out to our show at Genghis Cohen this past Friday. We love playing that venue, which we affectionately call “the cafeteria”. It’s nice and intimate, and we wish we had more time to spend with each and every friend, family member, and fan after the show. Seeing people clapping and singing along definitely makes all the weekday rehearsals seem worthwhile. Once again, we received a lot of positive feedback and can’t wait to return.

Our next show will be Friday, August 3rd at Prince O’ Whales in Playa del Rey. It’s a small-ish nautical themed bar, which we believe will fit us like a glove.

We plan on making a live recording of the show, so you won’t want to miss the chance to hear your very own hoots and hollers in the background when we release it. There’s no cover charge, but ages are 21+. I’ve never actually seen anybody check ID’s at the door, so use your discretion.

In other news, we were recently featured on an Insomnia Radio podcast called “The SoCal Sessions“, hosted by Charles Stepczyk. He played ‘She’s Not Tangible‘ amidst a solid collection of other L.A. artists. If you want to check out the podcast, you can download it here, or subscribe to the feed here. We’ve heard that song countless times, but listening to it in the middle of a podcast gave us a completely new perspective on our creation. It was like listening to it again for the first time.

Aside from that, we’re spending our time rehearsing and writing new material for a 2nd album - which will be due out sometime early next Spring. A lot is going on behind the scenes as well. We’re submitting our music to internet-based sites left and right, and have been getting positive response. Come this Fall, we’ll be servicing our album to a number of college radio stations nationwide. If you want to hear us in your area, let us know and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
